The story

Mahavir Singh Phogat (Aamir Khan) quit wrestling to help his family financially. Because of an incident, he starts believing that his daughters, Geeta (Zaira Wasim) and Babita (Suhani Bhatnagar), have the quality of being wrestlers. Keeping all sorts of societal pressures aside, he starts training his daughters at an early age. With their training, Mahavir takes Geeta (Fatima Sana Shaikh) and Babita (Sanya Malhotra) to compete at the Commonwealth Games.
